Jon’s Favorite Bodyweight-Only Exercises

  1. Burpees – Almost a total body, functional exercise. A great exercise to do if you have limited time and space.
  2. Wolverines – a 16-count exercise that is brutal and effective!
  3. Pull-Ups – Vary your hand positions for hitting different muscle groups (wide grip, close grip, commando grip, raise side to side etc)..
  4. V-Ups – Also known as a pike up. I love this abdominal exercise.
  5. Platform jumps – You gotta’ love plyometrics. Very explosive movement.
  6. One-arm Chin-ups – Very advanced. Great for grip strength.
  7. Jump Tucks – Great way to get your heart rate up quickly and fantastic for your core.
  8. Inverted Wall Mountain Climbers – Advanced movement that integrates balance, strength and core.
  9. Dive-bomber Push-Ups – My favorite upper body exercise. Hits all the upper muscle groups when done correctly!
  10. One-legged Deadlift movement – Great for your hamstrings and balance. –
